The consists of correspondence, vaccination records, confirmation certificates, receipts, and other documents arranged in chronological order by and documenting the Brand and Ott families in both Alsace and Illinois.
The first folder contains undated records and record fragments, the second contains correspondence and other papers.
The collection is comprised of 470 lantern slides positives, chiefly in black and white. The slides range in date from the late 1890’s to the mid-1910’s. The largest series (93 slides) are illustrated biblical passages of the Old Testament. The collection also comprises images of the Spanish-American War, the U.S. Navy, the Wreck of the Maine in Havana, Cuba (1898), the Battle of Bacolod (1902), and the Second Boer War (1899-1902). Included in the slides are images of China, Alaska, Cuba, Philippines, and several unidentified locations and portraits.

The collection consists of family correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, a copper engraving plate, programs and a United States Army honorable discharge certificate to Daniel L. Cobb.
This collection includes plans for commercial development on the northwest corner of Central Ave. and First St. in Highland Park, Illinois. The plans included cover various floors in the building, parking, signage, electrical, mechanical and revised plans. The dates of the plans range from October 23, 1962 until May 7, 1964. The architects for the plans were Loebl, Schlossman, and Bennett, Chicago, Illinois.
The collection consists of primarily historical documents related to the family’s property at 2687 Logan Street, Highland Park, Illinois. This includes abstracts about the property, a plat survey, estimate for a patio enclosure by Montgomery Ward, and correspondence about the water service pipe and placement of the home in the National Register of Historic Places. The collection also contains maps of Highland Park, Illinois; photographs of an unknown bride and a Boy Scout summer camp; programs; brochures and other ephemera.
