This collection contains photographs, yearbooks, report cards, attendance records, graduation and school performance programs, a financial record book, newspaper articles, and other school related ephemera from Highland Park Schools. The Highland Park Schools Collection appears to have been created at the Highland Park Historical Society and provenance is mixed and mostly undocumented. It should also be noted that many of the photographs within the collection were taken by the Brand Studio of Highland Park, IL. The following is an overview of materials that may be of special interest: Box 1 contains photographs of Highland Park School buildings and students from 1900-1950; Box 2 contains photographs of Highland Park High School sports teams and band from 1920-1950; autographed photograph of Harry E. Bolle, H.P.H.S band director; Box 3 contains school attendance and scholarship records from 1922-1941; Box 4 contains a financial record book from 1913-1923 with special mention given to information regarding the Nixon Fund on the first page; Box 5 contains materials from Highland Park Schools and related organizations such as the Board of Education for District 108 and 107. Materials in this collection include yearbooks, minutes, announcements, scrapbooks, newspaper publications and programs. Box 1 holds the first accession: announcements, minutes, and sheet music, circa 1950-1989. It is arranged chronologically.
There are two series in the 2014 accession: records and scrapbooks.
Box 2 holds five scrapbooks assembled by members and the Club. One scrapbook contains minutes, clippings and other documents related to scholarship concert, 1956 - 1958. Other scrapbooks are chiefly composed of newspaper clippings and fliers dated 1950 -1973, 1973 - 1990, 1990 - 2006, 2007 - 2010.
Box 3, 1928-2010, holds minutes, treasury ledgers, club bylaws, newspaper drafts and clippings, and a club history:

The files contains blueprints for various parts of the properties, deeds, titles, correspondence, and other research about the properties and locations. The dates of the materials span from the mid 1920s until the mid 1940s.

Henry X Arenberg's papers chiefly document his role in the civic life of Highland Park, Illinois. The bulk of this collection consists of event planning correspondence, committee participation records, and photographs of historic buildings and locations. It also contains a wide collection of newspaper clippings.

There are 6 series and 2 subseries the the collection. The first series is Oversized, which contains items that were too large to be placed in the other boxes, or awkwardly shaped items. The second series is General. It contains correspondence from committees and events that broadly interested Arenberg; including, but not exclusively, Highland Park or his photography. The third series is People, containing various people of Highland Park. The fourth series is Photographs, which contains general photographs not associated with a subseries, and then 2 subseries. The first subseries is Homes, which contains images of homes from around Highland Park. The second subseries is National Registry, which contains images of homes, monuments, and locations listed on or suggested to be listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places. The fifth series is Preservation, which contains information dealing with actions taken to preserve various locations, monuments, and buildings in Highland Park. The sixth and final series is Publications, which contains various books and articles that involved Henry Arenberg and were published either by himself of via the Highland Park Historical Society.

Also included are Men's Garden Clubs of America Yearbooks (1940-1943), applications for membership (1943-1957), correspondence, project information, metal garden markers, and materials from annual garden club shows.
