This fonds consists of legal documents issued by the Justice Court of Lake County, including summons, claims, criminal complaints, garnishee affidavits, garnishee summons, praecipe and affidavits of claim, satisfactions of judgment, warrants, attachment writs, attachment affidavits, attachment bonds, attachment notices, executions, subpoenas, and appeals. Other documents include correspondence, carbon copies of correspondence, invoices, handwritten notes, and receipts to and from plaintiffs and defendants.

The collection contains correspondence, a newspaper clipping, the memorial service program for Jesse Lowe Smith, and newsletters of the Old Timer's Club. The Old Timer's Club met once a year and was composed of teachers who were at Elm Place School when Mr. Jesse Lowe Smith was the principal.

Materials in this collection include yearbooks, minutes, announcements, scrapbooks, newspaper publications and programs. Box 1 holds the first accession: announcements, minutes, and sheet music, circa 1950-1989. It is arranged chronologically.
There are two series in the 2014 accession: records and scrapbooks.
Box 2 holds five scrapbooks assembled by members and the Club. One scrapbook contains minutes, clippings and other documents related to scholarship concert, 1956 - 1958. Other scrapbooks are chiefly composed of newspaper clippings and fliers dated 1950 -1973, 1973 - 1990, 1990 - 2006, 2007 - 2010.
Box 3, 1928-2010, holds minutes, treasury ledgers, club bylaws, newspaper drafts and clippings, and a club history:

The collection consists of photographs of Gertrude Knapmiller Ronzani, Floyd Presley, Theresa Slack, John Frantonius, Marie Knapmiller Frantonius, and John Peterson. Also included are a lady's lace cap, a booklet celebrating the 20th anniversary of the hospital in 1938, a postcard, and a photocopy of the fifteenth census of the United States of 1930, issued by the Department of Commerce - Bureau of the Census.

Correspondence, clippings, images and detailed inventories and documentation, pamphlets, printed materials compiled by Better Homes in America campaign local chairman Babette S Kornblith. This scrapbook documents the Better Homes in America campaign and Deerfield-Shields High School Vocational Program, the cooperative work between the two groups and ensuing recognition, 1930-1931.

North Shore Yacht Club, records

The North Shore Yacht Club collection is comprised of photographic images, financial ledgers, membership rosters and surveys, race information, safety and procedural instructions, Yacht Club publications, and scrapbooks The scrapbooks document the activities of the North Shore Yacht Club from 1929 through 2005; with the bulk of scrapbooks dating from 1930 to 1970. "Breeze" (Box 1), the Yacht Club's newsletter and the Harbor Study documents pertaining to beach erosion in Highland Park (Box 2.11) document the activities and goals of the organization. Administrative files and publications can be found in Boxes 1-. Visual materials are located in Boxes 4-8.

The map of Highland Park and vicinity was compiled by Windes and Marsh, civil engineers and surveyors. The map is color coded. The date on the map is 1934. However, there is a note: P.E. Cole, city engineer, January 1938. The atlas of the city of Highland Park, Lake County Index sheet shows a street index of Highland Park that is color coded. The index sheet was drawn in 1932 by D.D. Corrough and P.E. Cole and revised 26 Feb 1939 by Corrough and 18 July 1939 by P.E. Cole.
