Note
The Grotti family originated from the village of Fanano, in Italy's Modena Province. Guiseppe (Joseph) Grotti and Raffaello (Ralph Grotti) both emigrated to America in the early 1900's and lived in Marion County, Illinois (specifically in and around Centralia) for a number of years before moving to Highland Park in the early 1920's. Ralph had two children, Ada and Leo, while Joseph never married.
