This collection was created by a committee developing a centennial exhibit for the Highland Park Fire Department. The dates range from 1889 to 1989 with the opening of the exhibit. The items found in this collection are various images, newspaper articles, an exhibit proposal, various reports from the fire house, a yearbook created for the centennial, and a uniform.

The collection includes memorabilia such as stickers, candle holders, and wooden nickels, the Centennial Anniversary Dinner programs, manuscripts for publications about Highland Park history, especially in reference to its centennial, special editions of local news publications covering the centennial, news clippings, and the centennial banner.
This collection consists of 33 black and white glass lantern slides that appeared to have been shown as a presentation at a party in Highland Park, Illinois. One slide serves to introduce the presentation 18 slides depict an unidentified beach event. The remaining 14 slides feature people and landscapes, including Highland Park, Illinois ravines; Lake Michigan; local farms; and other (sine loco) scenes.
