These series describe specific political offices, a group that requires citizens to be voted into (such as city council and city board), and a general file containing items used to understand politics. The various peoples associated with these groups and there names can be found within each folder and in the finding aid.

Photographs and medals that belonged to Joseph D. Lang, 6730447, a private in Troop A, 14th Cavalry, stationed at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Photographs chiefly document horse shows and other events at the Fort. Medals include Pistol "D" medal pin, "Rifle" and "Pistol M."
