Chamberlin's daily agendas document his life, family and activities. Various clippings, programs and other ephemera are inserted in the volumes. Highland Park (Illinois) subjects and organizations documented include Trinity Episcopal Church (Highland Park, Ill.), the Flute and Fiddle Club, North Shore Chamber Orchestra, schools and school districts, and the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce. Other organizations and events include the inauguration of Illinois Governor James R. Thompson, the American Bicentennial, and the Chicago Bar Association. There are also 2 monthly calendars, 1978-1979.

The diary in the first year of the series begins, "still unemployed."

Chamberlin diary's also documented the weather, deaths in his personal life, as well as what he ate everyday.

Log cabin quilt

This item consists of one red, white, and blue patterned quilt created and donated by Elizabeth Cumming Will in 2003, using fabrics styled after patterns from 1840-1865 for display at Francis Stupey Cabin. 210 x 150 cm. Minor tears repaired by creator 2018.11.

Old Highland Park

Framed watercolor painting features early 20th century Highland Park looking East at the SE corner of St. Johns and Central Ave. from railroad tracks as envisioned by artist. Partially legible typed notes on back indicate that the painting was a gift to Gilbert J. Baruff, outgoing president of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce in 196?; and, that he returned it to the Chamber of Commerce on behalf of himself and Courtney Insurance Services. 57 x 70 cm.

Wagon wheel quilt

Pieced, possibly for a woman's circle of the (First) Baptist Church or the first Evangelical Congregational Church. This 1895 block quilt of wagon wheels is an early example community fundraising in Highland Park, Illinois. It contains 564 names. A wheel's center name is probably the church or missionary member sewing that section with the names in the spokes being subscribers to her wheel. 192 x 190 cm.

Seventeen printed items and ephemera, including postcards, monographs, periodicals, a telephone directory, and silver dollar placed in safe deposit bank in 1971. Series also includes notes from opening, key envelope and engraved plaque.
