August G Haak lived in Highland Park until at least 1965. According to his recollections, Haak landed the first airplane in Highland Park on Zahlne's farm on Ridge Road in 1927. Haak's father came to Highland Park in 1904 and was an organizer of the Highland Park Businessmen's Association, the forerunner of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce. Haak owned Haak's Auto Supply, 1923-1965, and Willys-Knight and Whipper and DeSoto Car Sales. In 1969, Haak lived in Marthasville, Missouri
