History

Pike attended one year at Elm Place School in Highland Park, Illinois, 1927-1928. According to his daughter Terri, Pike gave a speech at the 1928 graduation and attributed, in part, achievements in later life to a "good start under the tutelage of Jesse Lowe Smith."
Pike was highly involved in Elm Place alumni activities throughout his life.
