History

Rollin M. Pease was one of 9 children of Daniel and Katharine B. (née James) Pease. The Pease family settled in Highwood, Illinois in 1889 where Oak Terrace School was erected. Pease, a bass-baritone concert vocalist, served as director of the voice department at Northwestern University for several years until 1931 when he received an appointment as director of the Voice Department at the University of Arizona.
