1.11 Abstract of Title to North part of the City of Highland Park, Lake County, Illinois

File contains a "true copy of the original abstract of title" to North Part of the City of Highland Park, Lake Co., Ill. The document shows the history of the property from 1844 to 1867. There are three copies in this file. Two of the copies are signed by Alvah S. Rogers certifying the document is a true copy of the original. The third copy is signed by Louis J. Gurnee certifying that it is a true copy of the original.

Scope and Contents note File contains materials related to the Highland Park Building Co., c. 1869-1875. Materials include: an abstract of property Section 23, Township 43 North Range 12 East (1872), Abstract of Title to Lands at Highland park (1875), envelope addressed to the mayor, three certificates (and copy) from 1871 certifying Hannah Miles one share of one hundred dollars in the capital stock of the Highland Park Building Company.

2.16 Mortgage Deed Samuel S. and Mary A. Streeter

Scope and Contents note File contains a Mortgagee's Deed from Sam R. Hurford to Miss Laura Starr. The mortgagee's sale where Mary A. Streeter and Samuel S. Streeter delivered to Alexander McDaniel the mortgage deed. The deed was to Lot 21 in McDaniel's Subdivision of the West half of the Northwest quarter of Section 26 in Township 43 North Range 12 east of the third principal meridian containing 2 1/2 acres of land, except a strip of land 33 feet wide; the west end od said lot is to be used a public street. The document spans from 1876-1881.
