Playbills, photos. clipping and correspondence regarding actor's tenure at local venues, including The Music Theater (located adjacent to Villa Moderne) and the Tenthouse Theater in the Round. Photograph subjects include Mayele Gabor; Bill Krott (Stage Manager) ; David Tihmar (Director); Jimmy Kommack; Bill Hayes; Lisa Drake; and Ward Orhman; Monica Van Vooren; and Tom Williams as well as pictures of the Men's Chorus room exterior and interior; the Music Theater; the Theater in the Round in season and before demolition; and the Villa Moderne. Original order has been maintained. Correspondence copies with the Library have been kept physically in the collection. Addtionally, there are 2 broadsides, 1 framed, for 1954 productions of "Anything Goes" and "Showboat" at the Music Theater, billed as "Chicago's Theater in the Country."
This collection was developed by Samuel T. Lawton Jr. It is an assortment of archival material and objects accumulated by Lawton. The collection is divided into 5 series. The first series is Personal, which contains personal papers. The dates in this series range from 1966-2004. The second series is Professional, which contains items pertaining to work Samuel was doing as Highland Park, Illinois. For example there are ordinances, zoning laws, and record books. The items in this series range from 1940-1980. The third series is Oversize, these are all the oversize archival items contained in the collection. It holds invitations and legal documents ranging from 1969-1970. The fourth series is Newspapers. It contains newspapers and newspaper clippings dating from 1968-1970. The final series is Objects. This series contains all the objects brought in with the archival material. These items are personal, professional, and commemorative. They range in dates from 1959-1986.
The North Shore Yacht Club collection is comprised of photographic images, financial ledgers, membership rosters and surveys, race information, safety and procedural instructions, Yacht Club publications, and scrapbooks The scrapbooks document the activities of the North Shore Yacht Club from 1929 through 2005; with the bulk of scrapbooks dating from 1930 to 1970. "Breeze" (Box 1), the Yacht Club's newsletter and the Harbor Study documents pertaining to beach erosion in Highland Park (Box 2.11) document the activities and goals of the organization. Administrative files and publications can be found in Boxes 1-. Visual materials are located in Boxes 4-8.

These files document the conception and developent of Port Clinton Square in Highland, Park, Illinois. It is chiefly composed of newspaper clippings, from the concept, including the political idea for the economy of Highland Park to the real estate development, the architecture, and marketing office space to medical doctors, lawyers, bookstores, and an ice cream parlor.
These two folders, created by the Highland Park Historical Society circa 1970, contain B/W images of the Millard house, portraits of Sylvester and Malcolm Millard, house and family related clippings and some correspondence regarding the City of Highland Park and pamphlets on state Parks and preservation.
