Jake (Jakobus or James Jacob) Koller was born in what is now Highland Park, March 15, 1866 (d. Inlet, Wi, 1926). The Koller farm sat west of the railroad tracks where Northmoor Country Club now stands. This circa 1887 photo taken at a Ravinia Studio before young Koller sought his fortune "our West." He "hunted meat" for the railroad before marrying in 1899. Digitization courtesy Jill Kohler Easley.
