This artificial collection, which appears to have been created by the Highland Park Historical Society, contains files related to the Fort Sheridan army base (active from 1887-1993) located in Fort Sheridan, Illinois. The files contain records regarding the history of Fort Sheridan, ceremonies and events held there, its redevelopment, visitor's guides and photographs documenting its history. It is arranged by topic.

This artificial collection created by the Society consists of 31 oversize, chiefly mounted, maps. Many of the mountings have maps on both sides. Maps are of Highland Park, Illinois. There are several maps of the state of Illinois. An inventory file entitled "Map Collection" contains images of several of the maps. An asterisk in the inventory indicates items in this collection.

Highland Park Woman's Club, records

There are five series in this collection: Minutes and Dues, Yearbooks, Scrapbooks, Topical files, and Artifacts. The Minutes document meetings with handwritten minutes and subscription information from the Club’s inception until 1956 and dues, 1902-1957. A sub-series contains the minutes from the Highland Park Woman’s Club Garden Club, 1935-1967. This series is one foot located in Box 1. The Highland Park Woman’s Club Yearbooks, 1902-1970, contain membership data for the Club and its Junior Auxiliary and information regarding events and achievements from previous years. This series is two feet, located in Boxes 2-3. The Chronological Scrapbooks documents the Club’s activities through clippings, yearbooks and other memorabilia. This series is twelve cubic feet, located in boxes 4-16. The topical file is arranged chronologically and by subject. Of special interest are folders documenting the history of the Club, created by Club members, newsletters (very incomplete), and files documenting two key court cases; one regarding the disposition of the clubhouse and the other property tax exempt status. Also housed within this series are several rare issues of the Illinois Clubwoman periodical. The Series is two linear feet, Boxes 17-18. Artifacts include a plaque and logo and other brand stamps. The artifacts are located in Artifact Drawer 1.

This artificial collection, created by the Highland Park Historical Society, contains records relating to the Ravinia Park in Highland Park, IL. The collection contains records relating to Ravinia's history, construction, opening and annual festival. The collection consists of video productions that document the activity of the Highland Park Senior TV Production Team from 1989-1999. It contains oral histories of Highland Park seniors as interviewed by senior producers. The personal narratives include eyewitness accounts of World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Highland Park Senior Center, cultural activities in Highland Park, and Highland Park neighborhoods.

There are four series in this collection: The Way It Was, Songs You Can See, Highland Park Senior Center, and Know Your Neighbors. Original numbers and order have been retained.

This collection contains items used for and in political campaigns. There are buttons, flyers, mailings, handouts, bumper stickers, pamphlets, and even letters written to or from the person running for office. These items have been organized into 10 series. These series describe specific political offices, a group that requires citizens to be voted into (such as city council and city board), and a general file containing items used to understand politics. The various peoples associated with these groups and there names can be found within each folder and in the finding aid.

Henry X Arenberg's papers chiefly document his role in the civic life of Highland Park, Illinois. The bulk of this collection consists of event planning correspondence, committee participation records, and photographs of historic buildings and locations. It also contains a wide collection of newspaper clippings.

There are 6 series and 2 subseries the the collection. The first series is Oversized, which contains items that were too large to be placed in the other boxes, or awkwardly shaped items. The second series is General. It contains correspondence from committees and events that broadly interested Arenberg; including, but not exclusively, Highland Park or his photography. The third series is People, containing various people of Highland Park. The fourth series is Photographs, which contains general photographs not associated with a subseries, and then 2 subseries. The first subseries is Homes, which contains images of homes from around Highland Park. The second subseries is National Registry, which contains images of homes, monuments, and locations listed on or suggested to be listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places. The fifth series is Preservation, which contains information dealing with actions taken to preserve various locations, monuments, and buildings in Highland Park. The sixth and final series is Publications, which contains various books and articles that involved Henry Arenberg and were published either by himself of via the Highland Park Historical Society.
