This folder contains various aspects of the RGC’s Environmental Awareness Conservation campaign, which includes various pamphlets and advertisements, newspaper articles promoting the use of environmentally friendly practices, procedures for safe waste disposal, three editions of the Lake County Forest Preserve’s Horizons magazine, a guideline packet for publicity writing/ reporters, internal communique between club members, stamps from a campaign of some sort, and the RGC Secretary’s Environmental Reports from the year of 2008, and from May 2011.
File contains three separate items: a photo of women holding signs: "Do you want a bomb in your backyard? Not here! No anti-ballistic missile system not anywhere!"; an article from "Your High School Report, "Someone you should know: Josephine Gherardini Keeping students safe for 30 years"; and the article "George F. Goldman, 84, helped build Highlands" from the Pioneer Press.
The Ernest A. Grunsfeld Jr collection contains hand drawn architectural plans, schedules, surveys, detailed notes, and blueprints. The collection is a combination of new construction undertaken by Grunsfled and various collaborators, including alterations Grunsfeld undertook on existing buildings. All the buildings covered are private residences and were built in the area now known as Highland Park, Illinois.
