Bill Carlson

NSYC: Bill Carlson. This is included here to show various parts of the mast rigging and the rudder.

End of Season Dinner

New Commodore Pete Weinert offers comments on being awarded the Malcolm Vail Safety Award. To his right are his wife Jane and
outgoing Commodore Joe Riddle. Another double exposure.

Clambake

Pot at rear had a spigot for pouring cupfuls of clam juice (this was weird stuff to a ten-year-old from the midwest). Note also the metal mats in the background, laid on the sand to aid the movement of the boats to and from the water.

End of Season Dinner

This appears to be a double exposure. Theflash may have failed on the first try, and a long exposure caused candle flames to appear as long squiggles.

Annual dinner

Pete Weinert (1954-5 Commodore), RCE Carlson (1956 Commodore), Bud Harring, Kerwin Knoelk, Gigi Schwandt (wife of Gunter), Jim Greenebaum.

RCE Carlson with his third son, Craig

Note the bottom of the stairs that came down directly from the equipment lockers on the second floors. In the background can be seen parts of the water treatment plant (ruins) next to the facility still in use.
