The collection is made up of 3.0 linear feet of periodical clippings, original research, photographs and legal records; dating from the 1890s to early 2000s. This is an artificial collection, which has been arranged alphabetically according to street name.

The Hotel Moraine-on-the-Lake Collection contains correspondence, records, promotional material, photographs and items relating to the operation of the Hotel Moraine-on-the-Lake. The collection contains materials from all periods of operation, but focuses mainly on the years between 1960 and 1968 when it operated as a site for industry conventions. The collection also documents the development proposed by Bert Schwartz and the community activism of the Moraine Citizens Committee. The Highland Park Historical Society was active in the last years of the hotel's existence celebrating its history and accruing items that would become this collection. Also documented in this collection is the Hotel Moraine (Highwood, Illinois). The Hotel Moraine (Highwood) is represented by news clippings, photographs, and original architectural plans

The collection consists of photographs of members and performers, newspaper clippings, programs, "Chapter Notes" and "Opera Outlook" newsletters, invitations, membership directories & yearbooks, High Five Award certificates for increase of membership, roasters of Board of Directors, flyers, and a photocopy of the 2007-2008 Annual Report. Also included in the collection are 2 CDs with photographs in JPEG format : Mitnick Concert and Spring Brunch, 2008, and Ravinia, August, 2009.

The collection documents the chapter's activities, including activities held jointly with other chapters.

Hand-drawn map with a key to 60 local businesses and a note "To Mr. Lundgren's knowledge, the oldest continuing business in Highland Park is the Earl W. Gsell & Co. It was first known in 1872 as Kurkee & Cummings ; later Cummings ; and then Earl W. Gsell. In 1923, a partnership was formed with Earl W. Gsell and Oscar L. Lundgren, retaining the Earl W. Gsell name. After Mr. Gsell's demise, the business continued in the same with Oscar L. Lundgren sole owner. The three stores were sold to Caesar A. Garibaldi in 1974 who continues the business in the same name. The business is now 107 years old. Prepared by Oscar L. Lundgren (signed), July 1979.

Highland Park Woman's Club, records

There are five series in this collection: Minutes and Dues, Yearbooks, Scrapbooks, Topical files, and Artifacts. The Minutes document meetings with handwritten minutes and subscription information from the Club’s inception until 1956 and dues, 1902-1957. A sub-series contains the minutes from the Highland Park Woman’s Club Garden Club, 1935-1967. This series is one foot located in Box 1. The Highland Park Woman’s Club Yearbooks, 1902-1970, contain membership data for the Club and its Junior Auxiliary and information regarding events and achievements from previous years. This series is two feet, located in Boxes 2-3. The Chronological Scrapbooks documents the Club’s activities through clippings, yearbooks and other memorabilia. This series is twelve cubic feet, located in boxes 4-16. The topical file is arranged chronologically and by subject. Of special interest are folders documenting the history of the Club, created by Club members, newsletters (very incomplete), and files documenting two key court cases; one regarding the disposition of the clubhouse and the other property tax exempt status. Also housed within this series are several rare issues of the Illinois Clubwoman periodical. The Series is two linear feet, Boxes 17-18. Artifacts include a plaque and logo and other brand stamps. The artifacts are located in Artifact Drawer 1.
