This collection was created by a committee developing a centennial exhibit for the Highland Park Fire Department. The dates range from 1889 to 1989 with the opening of the exhibit. The items found in this collection are various images, newspaper articles, an exhibit proposal, various reports from the fire house, a yearbook created for the centennial, and a uniform.

This colored map shows the general development plan of Highland Park, Illinois in July, 1924. The map includes a legend: proposed streets and street corrections, proposed street widenings, proposed parkways, existing parks and beaches, proposed parks and beaches, existing school properties, suggested school and playground sites, business districts, and general commericial districts. The plan was developed by the Highland Park Planning Commission and Jacob L. Crane, Jr. was the consultant.

The collection is arranged by folders, and contains the commencement program (1941), photographs of the 20th class reunion (1961), a booklet from the 45th reunion (1986), two booklets from the 50th reunion (1991), photocopies of newspaper clippings from the 40's regarding high school events, newspaper clippings (1942-1944), a photograph from the 55th reunion (1997), a photograph of the Edwin Gilroy family (1997), Gertrude Frances Sesso Intermediate School diploma from Elm Place (1937), and a Vocation Reading Course Certificate (1935), an issue of Highland Park News (1943), and issues of the High School annual newsletter, The Shoreline (1938-1942).
