This series contains images from various businesses around Highland Park. It has been organized into 3 sub series. The first are General images of HP businesses and may not contain conventional ideas of a business. The second, Powerhouse, contain images of HP's Powerhouse. The third and final sub series, Storefronts, contains images of the various storefronts owned by Highland Parkers.

Flag dedication

Mrs. E Phelps and Mayor Samuel Hastings dedicate a new flag on Central Ave on behalf of the Daughters of the American Revolution North Shore Chapter. Other event sponsors included the Elks Club and the American Legion.

Veterans group portrait

Group photograph of men wearing military medals, including for the Grand Army of the Republic and Cavalry insignia. Note on back of frame backing states "Left hand corner Geo. S. Rettig, grandfather Jack Rettig." George Rettig served in the U.S. Army 15th Infantry, Company D, during the "Indian Wars." John Finney appears to be third from left in the back row.
