The North Shore Yacht Club collection is comprised of photographic images, financial ledgers, membership rosters and surveys, race information, safety and procedural instructions, Yacht Club publications, and scrapbooks The scrapbooks document the activities of the North Shore Yacht Club from 1929 through 2005; with the bulk of scrapbooks dating from 1930 to 1970. "Breeze" (Box 1), the Yacht Club's newsletter and the Harbor Study documents pertaining to beach erosion in Highland Park (Box 2.11) document the activities and goals of the organization. Administrative files and publications can be found in Boxes 1-. Visual materials are located in Boxes 4-8.

Taken from farther north and looking south, the tower is seen with the flagpole in front, for the purpose of signal flags that could be visible to the boats in a race. NSYC had better sand than the public beach, and in about 1960 they traded places.
