Marvyn Wittelle Photocopies

A collection of pages and photographs photocopied from books and other sources, sent to Wittelle from "DRAIDS" at an address in Lombard, IL. The content dates to 1910 through 1920 and focuses on Highland Park and institutions/groups/individuals within it.

2 copies. A bound book containing a letter introducing the plan to the mayor and city council as well as analyses and recommendations in areas such as distribution of population, land use, street planning, parks and schools, sanitation, etc.

Religious Organizations of Highland Park books

Contains a history book of the Highland Park-based North Suburban Synagogue Beth El for its 40th anniversary in 1988, a 100 year anniversary celebration booklet for the Reedemer Lutheran Church in 1991, and a 100 year celebration booklet for the Evangelical Congregational Church in 1996.

Bound reports communicating information on the Highland Park community to its members and visitors, from the Mayor, City Council, Chamber of Commerce, and others. Includes 1953 town hall meeting reports that were also published as part of the "Our Home Town" series that appears in this folder. Includes a 1950 "This is Glencoe" report from the League of Women Voters of Glencoe that may have served as a model. Also includes a report from the Highland Park Hospital Association in 1919, reproduced for its 70th anniversary in 1989.
